Take The Cost-Effective Approach and Stop Trying To Do It All

As a small business owner, it’s easy to think that you can do everything but here’s the awful truth, you simply can’t. If you want to grow your business you, as an entrepreneur, can’t do it all.  Instead: 

  • Focus on YOUR core competence
  • Outsource your IT, Bookkeeping, Marketing, etc. (if that’s not your business!)
  • Compare your hourly rate compared to non-revenue generating time being expensed.

You have to choose between billable time and or everything else revolving around non-revenue generating time. If your time is valuable ask yourself what’s more cost effective, outsourcing consultants offering the service you need to grow your business OR wasting non-billable time working on areas that are not your core competence.
